Training Completion and Continuing Education
To complete Level 1, the candidate is required to watch all assigned video content (approximately 3 to 6 hours total) in its entirety. Embedded throughout the training are brief knowledge-check questions designed to ensure active engagement and confirm that the material has been reviewed. Upon successful completion of all training requirements, the candidate will be awarded RBT Professional Development Units (PDUs) in accordance with applicable continuing education standards. Additionally, the candidate will earn a Level 1 certificate for the specific micro-credential completed.
Multiple-Choice Examination (Level 2)
The multiple-choice examination is administered online and completed independently on the candidate’s personal computer. This assessment is designed to evaluate knowledge of key principles and procedures associated with the training on the specific micro-credential. The examination consists of multiple-choice questions, some of which may include video-based scenarios requiring the candidate to observe and respond. Candidates receive a pass/fail outcome upon completion. Additional details regarding examination structure and content areas are provided in the Candidate Handbook.
Competency Demonstration Assessment (Level 3)
The competency demonstration assessment is a performance-based evaluation in which candidates submit a video of themselves implementing specific behavior analytic procedures. Submissions are evaluated by trained raters using standardized scoring criteria aligned with the targeted skill area (e.g., discrete trial teaching, teaching interaction procedures). Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the application of these procedures to meet competency standards. If required, multiple raters may be used to ensure scoring reliability. Candidates will receive a pass/fail determination following completion of the review process.
